Boston Operatic Society

BOS was founded in 1964 and has been performing at Blackfriars every Spring and late Autumn since 1976. With over 60 members the organisation is always keen to welcome newcomers who would like to get involved whether backstage, in design, building, costumes, choreography, music or treading the boards.

Boston Playgoers Society

Looking for a new and stimulating hobby? Well look no further! Founded in 1928 Boston Playgoers Society is an amateur dramatic group with a professional attitude. The society produces three plays a year including comedy, farce, period and contemporary drama and always welcomes new members of all ages whether their skills lie in acting or backstage work i.e. lighting, set-designing/building, costumes or props.
