Graham Bean

From pounding the beat in Barnsley, through indulging in a chat over a cup of tea in Boston, to representing the biggest club in the world, Graham Bean has seen more than most in the football world. Appointed to the role of Compliance Officer for the FA in 1999, he quickly became known as "The Sleazebuster" with his remit to uncover the darker side of football. Expect a serious and amusing insight into dodgy transfers, bungs, the murky world of football agents, ticket scandals, and a range of other undesirable practices that go on in the world of football. A Tomb With a View

The sinister and dysfunctional Tomb family awaits the reading of the old man's will, which involves millions of pounds, with bated breath. They all have their own twisted reasons for wanting the money. Very rarely venturing into the outside world they live in the cocoon of their home, Monument House. Each family member is positively barking. One wanders round in a toga convinced he is Julius Caesar, another has werewolf tendencies and indulges in weird and wonderful experiments while a third, who appears to be a gentle old lady, delights in killing people off with her poisonous brews. By the third act the play is littered with corpses. This comedy-thriller will keep audiences guessing as it twists and turns to its surprising conclusion.

Two

One pub; One night; Fourteen characters; Two actors.

Meet our Landlord and Landlady; bitter, dysfunctional and constantly bickering. Enter the clientele; Slick-talking lethario 'Moth', an old woman taking a break from her 'work'; Fred and his wife Alice - who's never been the same since Elvis died, and Mrs Iger.... "I love big men".

Amid the bustle of the busy pub, we see contrasting but all too familiar characters portrayed; from those we joyously recognise, to those we would rather forget. Love, loneliness, crisis and conflict all play out as the pints are pulled and the night draws on.

The savage exchanges of our hosts reach boiling point as time is called, and as the stragglers make their way back out into the night, they are forced to confront their unspoken tragedy...

Colourful and intriguing characters juggle public facade and private emotion in this often hilarious and sharply observed representation of Northern pub life. From the writer of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Two carries its audience through the ups and downs of relationships and cannot fail to touch a nerve.

"Jim Cartwright is one of the mavericks of British theatre."
Daily Telegraph

"Broad humour, dry wit and often shudderingly moving poetry."

Rejects Revenge is one of the country's top theatre companies and 'Monsters...' is their 14th national touring show. Be prepared for film, music, sight gags, silliness and asteroid belts as they launch, literally, into uncharted territory...
